Congratulations to Yohita M. for winning the Mock Presidential Elections!
The Mock Presidential Election is the brain child of veteran teacher Jeffra Becknell. Ms. Becknell utilized her knowledge of the electoral process and instructional acuity to educate students in the entirety of the election process. Students participating in the election, campaigned, signed students up to vote, created sound-bites and videos and developed their own political parties. The culmination of this educational opportunity ended with outstanding speeches, phenomenal candidate postings around campus, and a voting process that saw the nomination and election of Ms. Yohita M. to the “ Mock Seat of Power” . Congratulations to all of the candidates ( Michael F., Belen G., Tai M., Arieanna M., and Marvin W.) and all of the students supporting this effort.
